Double dates are a great way to reacquaint yourself with people who you haven’t taken much time for recently. While it’s important to get close and comfortable with someone new that you’re dating, it’s also important not to lose the close ties we hold between our friends.

While dating someone, don’t separate yourself from the world, and do your best to maintain previous relationships with friends. In the end, your friends will always be there for you (assuming they’re true friends) – and in most cases, your current boyfriend or girlfriend will not. Don’t make the mistake of neglecting and/or pushing others away – otherwise, you may find yourself awfully lonely down the road. Ultimately, a steady balance between the two will yield much better results in the future.
