My heart is broke

All that’s left

Is the smoke

From a fire that burned so bright

Never ending day or night

Even though you made me hurt

Even though you made me cry

Our love was something

I cant deny

Our love is lost

As I can see

Never again will it be

Like it was long before

Because all that’s left

Is that open door

No Regrets

So I never have to wish that I told you
That I enjoyed your kisses every single time
That I was completely fascinated by you
That I listened to everything you said

So I never have to wonder if you knew
Everything I did, I did for you
All the things that I’ve said, I take them back
In my mind I really only remember the best of times

So you never have to question
That I love you with all of my heart
That I want to share in all of your life
That I believe we were made for each other

So there will never be a doubt
Everything in my world starts with you
All my thoughts end in making you happy
In my mind I think of you at your best

So I will never have to write a poem about regret
I am sorry beyond description
I am a new creature
I am dedicated to you
Beyond any human measure

To look deep into my soul
And understand the depth of my love
You would need a special eye
Or divine intervention from above.

I know that I love you
I know that I’ll never go astray
I know that I love waking up to you
Just being near you each day!

If I had been here before
It would be easier for me to do
But I had not been truly in love
Until that special day that I found you.

I’m sorry that I take you THERE
And I push you to the limit
It’s just that I need to know
If your heart is really in it!

I’m going to trust what you’ve said
And let love grow and just be
Just please don’t stop being you
Cause I’m working on being a better me.

In the end there will be two
Who stood the test of time
My heart will still belong to you
And I pray that yours will still be mine.

I love you, I LOVE YOU, I love you!

And as I go to sleep tonight
I’ll lay my head down peacefully
Knowing that I have you here….
